October 2021 Dispatch

Dear friends,

It’s the time of year that many of our minds turn to Marlboro: In New England, the air is crisp, the leaves are turning, and there is woodsmoke in the wind, apples on the trees, and students at home on their campuses.

Though there are currently no students on our beloved campus on Potash Hill, we are hopeful about developments with its new owners, the Marlboro Music School and Festival. As you may have heard, the Festival is taking this year to carefully develop relationships and partnerships, and we are glad to tell you that the council is taking part in those conversations. We have an open channel and preliminary communications have been productive and friendly.

As we come up on one year in our seats as council members, we look forward to sharing more progress and news with you in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for:

  • a survey from the council about your priorities for the MCAA

  • updates about our nonprofit status and the development of bylaws for the Association

  • new developments from the ad hoc committee on Facebook

  • more information about our conversations with the MMF about the campus

  • and plans for an informal virtual event with the MCAC and Association members

As always, please don’t hesitate to write to us at info@marlborocollegealumniassociation.com, and keep up with our meeting minutes here: www.marlborocollegealumniassociation.com/council-meeting-minutes
