July 2021 Dispatch

We hope that you are having a fantastic summer. This month brings a lot of positive news.

First, we have good news to share about the campus on Potash Hill. The Marlboro Music Festival has announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase the campus and steward it as their home for years to come. The festival will continue to use the campus for the summer months and will work with a variety of constituents and organizations to determine the off-season use of the campus sometime in the future. We applaud this development, and plan to be part of the conversation. Much is still undetermined, but this is an extremely positive outcome that will keep the campus intact and protected. Read the press release for more information.

In the last month, we have completed our application for Federal 501c3 status. Obtaining this status will be a significant milestone for the association, as it will allow us to seek tax-deductible funding for plans and projects to fulfill our mission. We have been advised that it may take several months to obtain approval, and we will keep you apprised of developments.

And, on another positive note, we send our congratulations to Tom Ragle and his wife, Nancy, on their 56th wedding anniversary which they are celebrating this Sunday July 25th. Have you read his memoir, available on our site?
