Allison Gammons

Marlboro was, and continues to be, an important part of my life. I learned a lot in my time there, and every time I have the opportunity to work with other Marlboro-ites, I find myself learning so much more. I’ve been fortunate enough to get to serve on the Alumni Council this past year, a year with a lot of transition and challenges as it moved from the business of creating an Alumni Association, to the business of being a Council serving that Alumni Association. There were certainly challenges through the year, as we found our footing, and I am eager to have the chance to continue in this work, building on the footing we’ve just found to move forward. We have an amazing group of Alumni, and there are so many ways that we can come together (both virtually and in-person) to provide opportunities for connection, sharing our talents, and so much more. Part of this is finding what Alumni want from the Association, and then finding ways to make it happen. The virtual reunion event in early October was a small step in this direction, and I am excited at the prospect of helping to keep this momentum going in the coming years.
