Ad Hoc Committee on Facebook

Report of the Ad Hoc Committee on Facebook, April 22, 2023

This ad hoc committee was tasked in January, 2021, with developing and achieving community buy-in for standards, norms, and rules of behavior for the MCAA Facebook page. Though Facebook is not the only space for Marlboro alumni to gather and share, the community needs the space held by the MCAA Facebook page. Community interactions on that page need to be functional, equitable, and respectful. For that to happen, we need the standards, norms, and rules of behavior to be constructed and adopted by the community; that is, we need community buy-in via democratic means. This committee is charged with devising systems to facilitate a functional page for the community.
